Siegel Jennings Property Tax Law is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join its fast-paced Cleveland office. Our national, multi-office practice focuses exclusively on the advocacy of fair property taxation on behalf of all taxpayers, striving to achieve immediate results while providing long-term strategies for sustainable economic growth.   • The Legal Assistant will perform a full range of administrative clerical duties as part of a busy team of attorneys, paralegals and other professionals as they work together to provide efficient and tailored solutions to clients' property tax questions. Training and support will be provided to ensure candidate's success in this role.

    Duties include:

    Responsible for a full range of office support administrative duties, including but not limited to:

  • Field/screen incoming phone calls, taking accurate messages. Interact professionally with clients, other firm professionals, court personnel, co-counsel, etc.
  • Open and maintain electronic and paper document files, includes accurate data entry.
  • Scanning, faxing, copying, etc.
  • Draft basic correspondence.
  • Greet clients and other visitors to office in a professional and service-oriented manner.
  • Requesting information from county or other governmental entities.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and coordinate maintenance and repairs of office equipment, including assessing new equipment and techniques.

    Book meetings and events.

    Flexibility to work in excess of 35 hours in a work week, especially during busy season periods of January 2 – March 31.

    Provide back-up support for various office-related tasks, including front-desk coverage and processing office mail and express shipments.

    Assist other members of the practice support group, as need.

    Minimum 1 year of administrative office experience or internship experience required. Law firm experience, familiarity with litigation terminology and/or real estate knowledge or experience considered a plus.
