CATERING MANAGER – SALARIED - Catering Department Manager with direct responsibility for Buehler’s Medina River Styx Catering operations. This person is expected to provide day-to-day leadership of the Store’s Catering Team while working as a “key” member of its larger, Food Service Leadership team.

This person is accountable for the profitability of the Catering Department along with establishing, developing, training and maintaining exceptional customer service by all Catering employees.

Primary duties include:

1) Organizing custom orders and full-service events, through effective communications, record keeping, checklists and follow-through.

2) Aligning staffing with an emphasis on recruitment and retention to meet Catering’s operational needs while making best use of Catering labor.

3) Working with local rental companies, entertainment services, photographers, and event venues. Planning ahead for seasonal changes, holidays, special events and promotions, with particular emphasis on organization and making the most of each opportunity.

4) Successful Candidate will be proactive in defining and resolving both employee and customer issues; communicating well with Store associates, customers, subordinates, and others.

5) Will perform related duties as required or assigned.

The Catering Manager will work cooperatively with Catering Direcr, Food Service Manager and the larger Food Service Team to develop and deliver a variety of Offerings that “wow” our customers.


• Prior 2-5 years’ catering experience preferably in managing the operation as a lead or assistant manager.

• Must be available to work 50+ hours per week, including nights and weekends

Wages: Beginning pay based on experience and potential; regular wage reviews.
